Outside, rain dazes
a trashcan. You snooze
like a child in a pew. The drapes
slow-dance in the draft.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

A friend suggested I write little quatrains. So I grabbed a twenty line piece I’d been working on for months and scratched it down to four lines. After some tinkering, it took quite a long time to find the word “dazes.”
