We made a wish
on the stars
of our mouths.

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

This little poem was inspired by idyllic memories of kissing my high school boyfriend–in Michigan with the snow coming down under all the winter stars. Though, if my husband asks, no, actually, it is about kissing him in Baltimore at St. Paul Court while down the street sirens wailed and the blonde-haired man cursed out the air. Probably it is both.
